Lyrics Translated By: thats_my_line
Kawaita kaze ni me wo sorasazu ni LENS shiboru
Neratta ashita no katachi wo Ima Utsushidasu yo
Without turning from the dry wind, I focus my lens1
I am now revealing the shape of tomorrow - my destination
Hitori no yoru ni kakureteita
Sabita kizuato wo Kodou no nami ni keshite
The waves of my heartbeat will erase this rusty scar I've hidden in a lonely night
make you free 風向きを
make you free 変えるのさ
make you free Kazamuki wo
make you free Kaeru no sa
shake your soul Omou mama ni
Tooi asa yori mo Tsuyoi hizashi-tachi wo Hikiyosete
Oikosu no sa Samayou kinou no kage wo
Make You Free
Make You Free
Shake Your Soul
The wind's direction can be changed at your will2
CURVE no tsugi no keshiki nara Kono mune ni egaku yo
Draw sunshine, stronger than a faraway morning, towards yourself
And outdistance the hovering shadow of yesterday
RULE no ito ni ayatsurarete
Suwarikomu hi ni mo Mezashita sora Miagete
I feel as if I were getting lost on the same road over and over again
But I can visualize the sight I will see around the next corner
Even if the rules control me on strings
And I flop helplessly along the ground3
I'll look up to the sky - my destination
make you free 不器用に
make you free 誘うように
make you free Bukiyou ni
make you free Sasou you ni
shake your soul Sukoshi de ii
Atsui nodo no oku Kitsui yokubou dake Oshikomete
Amai yume no togegoto Sono te ni tsukame
Make You Free
Make You Free
Shake Your Soul
In calling out clumsily
A little bit is okay4
Kirei ni hikaru kara
Ryoute de kabatte
Miugoki torezu ni miteta
GLASS no yume nado
Kobushi de kudaite
Mata sono te de Ubaeba ii
Fill your warm throat with your strongest desire5
Grasp the sweet dream, thorns and all
Because the glass dream shines beautifully
You were simply gazing at it and protecting it with both of your hands,
Without being able to move6
Shatter it with your fist!
You can get [your real dream] back again with the same hand
make you free いつまでも
make you free 誰よりも
make you free 風向きを
make you free 変えるのさ
make you free 不器用に
make you free 誘うように
make you free Itsumademo
make you free Dare yori mo
shake your soul Jiyuu dakara
make you free Kazamuki wo
make you free Kaeru no sa
shake your soul Omou mama ni
make you free Bukiyou ni
make you free Sasou you ni
shake your soul Sukoshi de ii
Atsui nodo no oku Kitsui yokubou dake Oshikomete
Amai yume no togegoto Sono te ni tsukame
Make You Free
Make You Free
Shake Your Soul
Forever you are the most free7
Make You Free
Make You Free
Shake Your Soul
The wind's direction can be changed at your will2
Make You Free
Make You Free
Shake Your Soul
In calling out clumsily
A little bit is okay4
Notes
1 It's literally "I squeeze the lens", but Kasumi said it was an idiom for focusing the lens on a camera, so I don't think Kime is really talking about an actual lens. The meaning is that you are focusing yourself or your intention. Yeah...
2 Kasumi said the Japanese in the chorus is all one sentence, so I translated it that way, but we feel that you may also be able to read it with the English, and perhaps Kime meant to have a double meaning. Such as, "the wind's direction makes you free", etc. But we're going with the real-live Japanese person on this one.
3 Or "even on days when I fall to the ground."
4 Again, we feel the English and the Japanese can be read seperately or together here. As in "Clumsily make yourself free", "By inviting yourself [to be free]", and "Shake your soul: a little bit is okay".
5 Here we feel that Kime means this is a desire that you really want to express.
6 We think what Kime is saying here is that you have a delicate dream, and you are afraid to do anything with it but protect it - you won't even move in case you break it - and the criticism is that if you are like this nothing will come of your dream because you're not making any progress. But this is open to personal interpretation.
7 Same note as the first two choruses.
